BoyleSports is the largest independently owned bookmaker on the island of Ireland.

Founded in 1982 by John Boyle, the business has grown to over 375 shops in the Republic of Ireland and the UK. BoyleSports offers mobile, desktop and phone betting and gaming in Ireland, the UK and a range of other international markets.

In 2019, we moved into the UK market with the acquisition of a group of shops in the Midlands, which was bolstered by BoyleSports’ principal partnerships with both Birmingham City FC and Coventry City FC. Newcastle United were added in 2021 as an official partner and we have continued to grow our numbers in the UK with shops from Wigan to Stoke and from Cardiff to Lytham St Annes.

Key recent milestones in the growth of the company include: the purchase of 33 William Hill shops in Northern Ireland in 2020, saving 217 jobs; the opening of our 300th shop in the Republic of Ireland in September 2022 and in early 2022 BoyleSports opened up an International betting operation in South Africa. Exciting times for the company which started with just one shop in Markethill, County Armagh.

We continue to grow our sponsorship portfolio with the sponsorship of the Saturday of the Galway Racing Festival and two prestigious race meetings at Aintree in November & December. We are already proud sponsors of the BoyleSports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse, the BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby and the BoyleSports World Grand Prix Of Darts.

BoyleSports HQ in the Republic of Ireland is located in Dundalk, close to both Dublin Airport and the border with Northern Ireland. The company currently employs over 2,700 employees in Ireland, the UK, Gibraltar, Manilla and South Africa. The Digital Marketing Operations centre in Gibraltar was opened in 2015 and is a thriving dynamic team.
