The 2026 Formula One season has been notable for staggered technical upgrades significantly changing the landscape and Max Verstappen now looks the man to follow in our Singapore Grand Prix predictions.
We tipped the flying Dutchman for a top-three finish in Malaysia last weekend on the back of a rock-solid run of results since Red Bull introduced a new package which addressed early problems regarding weight and aerodynamics. However, further upgrades that had helped Verstappen finish a close second in Azerbaijan really kicked in as he dominated in qualifying and on a rather chaotic rain-hit race day in Sepang .
There are precedents for sticking with the rejuvenated Red Bull this week, as Lando Norris landed a double after McLaren made a forward mid-summer move and Ferrari secured two wins in three races once they had come to terms with the new rules and regulations.
After such a convincing first victory of the campaign, Verstappen looks a worthy favourite at 9/4 in the Singapore Grand Prix odds to continue that trend by striking again while the iron’s hot.

Verstappen relief
Verstappen relieved to be back on top
Following an admirable run of form which brought six podiums in eight races, with crashes causing a DNF in the other two, Verstappen dominated in Malaysia to bring back memories of his four consecutive world title triumphs.
"We had a very complicated and tough start to the year, with all sorts of problems and just not being competitive enough," said Verstappen . "But although it was hard at times, throughout the year, the team has been working very hard to understand our issues and bring good performance upgrades to the car and make it more driveable.
“Step by step, we have been getting closer and we did it, which is really special and emotional - this whole weekend, we've been really in good form, so it's amazing.”
The weather forecast for Singapore does include a threat of thundery showers, similar to those which wreaked havoc at the start of last weekend’s race, but Verstappen has always been more than capable of overcoming such issues. Although yet to taste success on the Marina Bay Street Circuit , he was a creditable second here in 2024 and 2025.
Norris for podium
Norris picked for podium on course record
Marina Bay has seen six different winners in as many renewals and Verstappen’s Red Bull team-mate Isack Hadjar is a 9/1 chance to break his F1 duck after a couple of fair efforts since returning from injury. George Russell was an impressive scorer for Mercedes in Singapore 12 months ago but a grid penalty for taking a new power unit means he is 50/1 to repeat that result.
Table-topping team-mate Kimi Antonelli can be backed at 4/1, while the Ferrari duo of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are both quoted at 6/1.
Of more interest, though, is McLaren ace Lando Norris , who is available at 5/1 to repeat his 2024 triumph and appeals at Evens to claim a fourth straight podium finish in this floodlit affair for our Singapore Grand Prix betting tips.
Norris has to bounce back from a couple of disappointing results but was second on the street circuit of Miami this season and third in Madrid recently, while his two victories came on high-downforce tracks in Hungary and the Netherlands .
