FA Cup 2023/24 Betting Favourites
Manchester City - FA Cup Favourite
Man City, unsurprisingly, are favourites to retain the FA Cup at odds of 8/13 continuing their dominance of English Football. It would take a foolish person to count them out from claiming their third FA Cup title in six seasons.
FA Cup 23/24 Campaign
The Citizens have been nothing short of imperious in their FA Cup defence so far, following their 5-0 demolition of Huddersfield in the Third Round they've overcome three Premier League sides Tottenham, Luton and Newcastle winning to the aggregate score of 9-2 to book their Semi-Final place against Chelsea.
Their run in the 23/24 FA Cup has been as follows:
Third Round – Man City 5-0 Huddersfield
Fourth Round – Tottenham 0-1 Man City
Fifth Round – Luton Town 2-6 Man City
Quarter-Final- Man City 2-0 Newcastle
Semi-Final- Man City vs Chelsea TBC
Man City's FA Cup 2023/24 Chances
Man City are very worthy favourites for the FA Cup this season as they look to continue their domination of the domestic game and win a repeat Cup and League season in the coming months of the season. They're also favourites to land the Champions League.
With a star studded side including the likes of Haaland, De Bruyne and Foden it'll take a monumental performance to stop them winning this competition. Having drawn Chelsea for the Semi-Final, it'll be another all Premier League clash to reach the final.
Manchester United
There is a strong sense of Déjà Vu with Man United again second favourites to land the FA Cup as we head into the Semi-Final stage at odds of 5/2.
Erik ten Hag has had a difficult second season at the club but following their dramatic 4-3 victory against Liverpool in the Quarter-Final, could the tide be starting to turn for his side?
FA Cup 23/24 Campaign
Last seasons' beaten finalists were on the side of some favourable draws earlier in the competition and they made those count dispatching of Wigan, Newport and Nottingham Forrest to reach the Quarter-Final stage. However, it was their victory against Liverpool at the weekend that has kept them in contention for this season's competition.
Third Round – Wigan 0-2 Man United
Fourth Round – Newport County 2-4 Man United
Fifth Round – Nottingham Forrest 0-1 Man United
Quarter-Final- Man United 4-3 Liverpool
Semi-Final- Man United vs Coventry TBC
Man United's FA Cup 2023/24 Chances
Man United finished the bridesmaid to their "Noisy Neighbours" in the FA Cup Final last season and will be hoping to go one better this season and land ten Hag another trophy.
While their neighbours are worthy favourites, with United being handed a favourable draw against Coventry for the Semi-Final stage, they remain major players in the competition. A victory would take them to 13 FA Cup titles which would put them just one behind Arsenal.
Chelsea
Next up in the FA Cup betting odds is Chelsea at odds of 11/2. That puts them behind Man City and Man United in the betting.
Chelsea have been a curious case during this FA Cup campaign. While they emphatically dealt with Preston in the Third Round, they overcame scares to varying degrees in the other rounds to reach the Semi-Final. However, they've found the knack to get through when it matters even it has been largely against Championship sides.
FA Cup 23/24 Campaign
Their FA Cup run was as follows:
Third Round – Chelsea 4-0 Preston
Fourth Round - Chelsea 0-0 Aston Villa
Fourth Round Replay – Aston Villa 1-3 Chelsea
Fifth Round - Chelsea 3-2 Leeds United
Quarter-Final- Chelsea 4-2 Leicester City
Semi-Final- Man City vs Chelsea TBC
Chelsea's FA Cup 2023/24 Chances
Chelsea have had a stutter start to life under Mauricio Pochettino with the club 11th in the league after failing to find consistency with their young group of players. However, the Cup's have proven better for them and after losing out to Liverpool in the EFL Cup Final, they remain a dangerous Cup outfit.
If they were to win the FA Cup it would be their first victory in the competition since 2017/18. It would also take them clear of Liverpool and Tottenham with nine FA Cups to their name only trailing Manchester United (12) and Arsenal (14).
Coventry City
The outsiders for the FA Cup is Championship side Coventry who have been the story of the competition so far and are now in the final-four and a 25/1 shot to land the FA Cup for the first-time since their success in 1987.
Coventry are another side who have have been helped by the luck of the draw to reach this stage getting Oxford, Sheffield Wednesday and Maidstone in the earlier rounds of the competition
FA Cup 23/24 Campaign
Their FA Cup run was as follows:
Third Round – Coventry 6-2 Oxford United
Fourth Round - Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Coventry
Fourth Round Replay – Coventry 4-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Fifth Round - Coventry 5-0 Maidstone United
Quarter-Final- Wolves 2-3 Coventry
Semi-Final- Man United vs Coventry TBC
Coventry's FA Cup 2023/24 Chances
It's not disrespectful to call Coventry the outsiders of the remaining four but the grit and resilience shown against Wolves at the weekend has them in the hat and very much in with a chance of success. Coventry have nothing to lose and everything to gain in this competition which is a dangerous prospect for their Semi-Final opponents Man United.
If they win the FA Cup this season it'll be the first time since their only ever success in the competition which came in 1987.
