Odds Clipped on Galway All-Ireland Glory

Hurling2

Leinster champs tee up semi-final.

Galway’s odds on All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship glory have been trimmed following their emphatic Leinster final victory over Dublin.

The Tribesmen delivered a statement performance to claim their first provincial title since 2018, running out 14-point winners in a dominant display in which Darragh Neary, Aaron Niland, Conor Cooney and John Fleming all found the net.

As a result, Galway have now been cut into 7/1(from 10/1) by BOYLE Sports to be crowned All-Ireland champions ahead of a last-four clash with the winner of the upcoming quarter-final between Offaly and Cork.

The latter, who narrowly lost out to Limerick in a dramatic Munster final, remain second favourites at 9/4, while Limerick, who were behind for most of the Páirc Uí Chaoimh decider, have shortened into 8/13 from 8/11 to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:

“Galway’s display in the Leinster final has definitely not gone unnoticed in the west at least, with a notable uptake in wagers on them going all the way. Limerick, however, remain the benchmark for most punters as John Kiely’s side look in pole position to reclaim the Liam MacCarthy Cup.”
