The final day of Glorious Goodwood dominates our Saturday ITV racing tips this week, with the Stewards’ Cup featuring among five contests from the Sussex spectacular.
There are also a couple of smart group-class events at that venue, while Newmarket and Thirsk provide back-up with a race apiece.

This represents a marked step up in grade for Ralph Beckett’s three-year-old filly, who also faces older rivals for the first time, but the manner of her two recent successes – 12 lengths at Ripon followed by a neck triumph at Salisbury – means she has already been tested in different ways.

13:50 GOODWOOD – VALEDICTORY @ 3/1
Has had a perfect record since stepping up to a mile and six furlongs and being fitted with cheekpieces and can complete his hat-trick bid. Owned by Godolphin , the Cracksman gelding recovered from unseating his rider on the way to the start to claim a course and distance success in May before bagging a further score at Newmarket .
Joint-trainers John and Thady Gosden have had recent wins in this race with the likes of Trawlerman and Sweet William in 2022 and 2023 respectively, and Valedictory could add his name to the roll of honour before going on to greater things ahead.
14:08 Thirsk Tip
14:08 THIRSK – TUSCAN HILLS @ 11/1
Had his problems after winning on debut over this course and distance and then bolting up at Pontefract prompted an overly ambitious Derby bid, but a third switch of stables to Nigel Tinkler may have done the trick.
After keeping on well for an encouraging fifth at York on his first start for the North Yorkshire handler, the five-year-old’s mark has slipped to 93 and that makes him of interest in the Summer Cup Handicap.
14:25 Goodwood Tip
14:25 GOODWOOD – AL AASY (NAP) @ 15/8
The William Haggas -trained golden oldie is fancied to secure his third successive Glorious Stakes victory and a ninth Group Three triumph overall.
Al Aasy warmed up for this race with a comfortable win at Beverley , is an incredibly consistent sort and his good record at Goodwood cannot be underestimated despite facing a high-quality field.

15:00 GOODWOOD – CONSENT @ 5/1
The Group Two Lillie Langtry Stakes will see Sir Mark Prescott’s filly return to the distance of last October’s Prix de Royallieu victory at ParisLongchamp .
Her only appearance this season came back in France when she trailed home at the back of a nine-runner field in the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier, but Consent has had a break since then and so could be revitalised.
Prescott is a shrewd operator and will hopefully have her back into the shape which saw her beat old rival Santorini Star by four and a half lengths for Group One glory 10 months ago. The Lope De Vega filly has not raced on faster ground than good, but has won on both occasions she has tackled a relatively sound surface.

15:35 GOODWOOD – TWO TRIBES @ 9/1
There could be another successful title defence with Richard Spencer’s charge in the Stewards’ Cup. The five-year-old is treading the same path as last year, which yielded glory in both the Moet & Chandon International at Ascot and when heavily backed to follow up in this contest.
Two Tribes came home as runner-up in last week’s International at Ascot but was more impressive in this event 12 months ago and is clearly in great heart to go well again.

16:10 GOODWOOD – WILD DESERT @ 6/1
Charlie Appleby’s charge finished his juvenile campaign with a runner-up effort in the Grade One Summer Stakes at Woodbine but then had a 299-day absence before returning to action at Newmarket recently. He did disappoint there but this ease in class will benefit him and despite carrying top weight, Wild Desert may have too much quality.
