A lucky Dubliner is celebrating a huge win this week after a visit to their local betting shop resulted in a handsome five-figure windfall.
The anonymous customer place a confident €100 bet on four selections in their local BoyleSports shop picking one horse, one dog and two football teams.
The bet was struck just in time for the 7.00 race at Chilean racecourse Valparaiso, where Even money shot Applejack got the ball rolling, and just 3 minutes later, Ballymac Rita (4/1) won the 7.03 Greyhound race at Doncaster leaving them halfway to the fortune.
They went on to oblige at 4/5 with a 3-2 victory, leaving Liverpool with the responsibility having been picked out at 15/2 to win with a 2-goal handicap.
