How do you calculate a Lucky 63 Bet?
Still asking ‘how does a Lucky 63 Bet work?’. It can help to see a Lucky 63 Bet explained in the form of an example, along with some more detail on how each part of the wager is calculated.Single bet = Horse odds
Double bet = Horse 1 odds x Horse 2 odds
Treble bet = Horse 1 odds x Horse 2 odds x Horse 3 odds
Fourfold = Horse 1 odds x Horse 2 odds x Horse 3 odds x Horse 4 odds
Fivefold = Horse 1 odds x Horse 2 odds x Horse 3 odds x Horse 4 odds x Horse 5 odds
Sixfold = Horse 1 odds x Horse 2 odds x Horse 3 odds x Horse 4 odds x Horse 5 odds x Horse 6 odds
To work out a potential payout, we must add a stake and the odds on each horse into the calculation. For simplicity’s sake, imagine all six of our horses have odds of 2/1, and our stake is £10.
Single bet – £10 x 2/1 = Total return £30 / Total profit £20
Double bet – £10 x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) = Total return £90 / Total profit £80
Treble bet – £10 x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) = Total return £270 / Total profit £260
Fourfold – £10 x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) = Total return £810 / Total profit £800
Fivefold – £10 x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) = Total return £2,430 / Total profit £2,420
Sixfold – £10 x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) x (2/1 + 1) = Total return £7,290 / Total profit £7,280

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the advantages of a Lucky 63 Bet?
A Lucky 63 Bet can provide huge payouts with a relatively low level of risk, especially compared to a standard accumulator bet. A quick and easy form of hedge betting, Lucky 63 Bets can still produce significant profits even if a number of selections let you down and give you a far higher probability of a payout than a sixfold accumulator.What are the disadvantages of a Lucky 63 Bet?
The main disadvantage of a Lucky 63 Bet is that you’re effectively placing 63 bets with the same stake. If none of your six selections come in, then you lose 63 times, while you can’t choose to place a lower stake on the riskiest legs of your Lucky 63. This is of course different to a standard sixfold accumulator. However, all those extra legs are what gives you the higher probability of a payout.In what sports can you make a Lucky 63 Bet?
Lucky 63 Bets are possible in a variety of sports, although they’re most popular in horse racing. This is partly because some bettors like to introduce a higher-risk selection into the mix, while covering any potential losses from this with safer bets. Lucky 63 betting is also popular in football for a similar reason, allowing you to hedge your bets against the unpredictable nature of the sport.How many bets are there in a Lucky 63 Bet?
A Lucky 63 Bet has a total of 63 bets, which are based on six selections from six different events. Lucky 63 Bets consist of one sixfold, six fivefolds, 15 fourfolds, 20 trebles, 15 doubles and six single bets. You can turn a profit from only one winning selection if the odds are greater than 63/1, while all six selections must come in to achieve the full payout.How is a Lucky 63 Bet different to a Heinz Bet?
A Lucky 63 Bet is different to a Heinz Bet in that it includes a single bet on each of the six selections within the wager. A Heinz Bet is made up of one sixfold, six fivefolds, 15 fourfolds, 20 trebles and 15 doubles to total 57 bets, which is six fewer than a Lucky 63 bet due to the absence of those single bets.
