The new NFL season stepped up a gear last weekend with a number of close encounters and American Football fans will be hoping that trend continues.
However, we’ve got a mixture of expected scenarios in our NFL Week 4 predictions , which would provide us with a 5/1 treble if all prove correct.
Bills vs Patriots
BUFFALO BILLS -6.5 POINTS TO BEAT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS @ 5/6
The Bills were guilty of committing far too many unforced errors when entertaining the Los Angeles Chargers last week but still managed to get their act together in time to prevail by a 12-point margin. That put Buffalo at 3-0 after Josh Allen had previously impressed in wins over the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions which yielded 77 points scored.
Next to visit the spectacular new Highmark Stadium are the Patriots , whose form has nosedived this term following last season’s surprise run to the Super Bowl , with young quarterback Drake Maye a major concern after looking all at sea during a woeful 35-6 defeat in Jacksonville .

Bengals vs Jaguars

The Bengals suffered a frustrating 30-27 loss away to the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday, but we’re hoping they were just unfortunate to face Aaron Rodgers on a day when he decided to turn back the clock.
Cincinnati had risen up the rankings as a result of three straight pre-season wins and a bright start to the new campaign which saw them beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Houston Texans , with a well-balanced offence backed up by an improving defence.
The Jaguars haven’t done much wrong in posting wide-margin wins over the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots either side of a tight loss away to the Denver Broncos , but facing Joe Burrow and Co on the road is a tough test.
Texans vs Cowboys
DALLAS COWBOYS +3.5 POINTS AT HOUSTON TEXANS @ 4/5
The Cowboys ended up on the wrong end of an absolute classic at the Maracana in Rio , when a 56-yard field goal with one second on the clock gave the Baltimore Ravens a 34-31 success.
That defeat again highlighted how Dallas have a lot to do on defence, but the big guns going forward are all firing, with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb once again teaming up to great effect and Javonte Williams looking more and more powerful on the ground.
As long as that trip to Brazil hasn’t taken too much out of the Cowboys , they should be capable of at least keeping it close against a Houston outfit struggling with all-too-familiar problems when it comes to putting points on the board and lacking confidence at 0-3.
