Wolfe Tones To Support Oasis at Croker Plummet
Odds of 200/1 that the Wolfe Tones will warm up Oasis revellers at their Croke Park gigs next summer have crashed into 25/1 with BoyleSports after Liam Gallagher teased a surprising support act on social media platform X.
Gallagher’s often tongue-in-cheek social media interactions took an interesting twist when the rebel band were forwarded for a possible support slot, prompting the Oasis frontman to reply “I’m up for it, let’s do it.”

Estranged brothers Liam and Noel announced a money-spinning comeback tour last month, which included two sold-out gigs at Croke Park on August 16th and 17th. And the Wolfe Tones are already on board with the idea despite their plan to hang up their banjos when their current tour ends next month with gigs in Belfast and Dublin.
Oasis have frequently championed their Irish roots and Noel Gallagher has previously suggested that an early introduction to Irish rebel songs gave Oasis their “punch-the-air quality.”
Fontaines DC Pushed Out in Oasis Support Act Betting
Liam was far less complimentary on X when quizzed about the possibility of Fontaines D.C. backing Oasis up at Croker, with the Dublin rockers now pushed out to 5/1 from 3/1 to end up on the bill.
Other possibilities include Belfast rappers Kneecap (16/1) and the Prodigy at 10/1, who supported the Manc legends in their prime when they opened at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork in 1996.
Further out in the betting are Irish music icons U2 who come in at 100/1 in the betting to support the Manchester brothers in Dublin. Big names such as Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles (all 150/1), Blur (200/1) and Taylor Swift (200/1) make up the longer odds shots in the market.
Lawrence Lyons spokesperson for BoyleSports, said:
“It looked far-fetched just days ago that the Wolfe Tones could be belting out some rousing numbers for Oasis at Croke Park, but little by little it’s becoming a real possibility and we’re taking no chances."
