Strictly Come Dancing Tips
JB Gill and Tasha Ghouri have been made the early frontrunners for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing according to the latest odds from BoyleSports.
Fifteen celebs took to the ballroom for the first time on Saturday and ex-JLS singer and X-Factor runner-up JB Gill caught the attention of plenty of punters when the stars performed an opening group dance.
Gill, who had been as big as 8/1 as fans counted down to the hit BBC show, is now a hot favourite at 3/1, with Tasha Ghouri hot on his heels at odds of 4/1. Ghouri is no stranger to the dancefloor having previously starred in an MNEK music video before appearing on Love Island.
While Gill and Ghouri have been identified as the early duo to follow, viewers have gone cold on the chances of Eastender Jamie Borthwick who has drifted to 8/1 (from 9/2) and Parisian gold medal swimmer Tom Dean, who is now one of the show’s outsiders at 25/1 (from 10/1).
Nick Knowles and Paul Merson are rated the likeliest celebs to make an early exit from the show by the oddsmakers and are 66/1 to lift the Glitterball, with opera singer Wynee Evans (33/1) also amongst the outsiders.
Chris McCausland has already become a fan favourite owing to his witty sense of humour, with the blind comedian telling his fellow contestants that “I may as well get the jokes out now, I’m only here for three weeks.” Punters however are taking a more optimistic approach and have backed him into 14/1 from a colossal 25/1.
Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said:
“JB Gill and Tasha Ghouri made early impressions on the dancefloor as this year’s Strictly got underway, but fans have latched onto funnyman Chris McCausland to spring a surprise at a big price.”
