This is the fourth last race of the F1 season with only the São Paulo Grand Prix, Las Vegas Grand Prix and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix following Sunday’s race.

What Are The Mexican Grand Prix Odds?

Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing is the runaway 1/3 favourite in the betting. Mercedes Driver Lewis Hamilton finds himself second in the betting at 17/2 alongside Mexican native Sergio Perez. Lando Norris 16/1 and George Russell 20/1 are considered big outsiders.

Mexico City Grand Prix Track

This weekend, the Mexican Grand Prix will be taking place for the 24th time. After a two-decade-long hiatus, the Mexican Grand Prix made its long-awaited return to the F1 calendar in 2015.

Drivers will navigate around the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez track over 71 laps totalling 4.3 kilometres.

The Mexico City track contains 17 corners for drivers to negotiate while there are two DRS zones where drivers will have the best opportunity to overtake their competitors.

Mexican Grand Prix Preview

Max Verstappen 1/3

The Red Bull driver leads The Driver’s Championship and is the red-hot favourite to continue his dominance this season where from eighteen races so far he has a staggering fifteen victories and seventeen podium finishes during the 2023 season.

He is the most successful driver at the track with victories in 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022 and will be looking for his fifth success on Sunday.

The big news in the lead-up to the race is Verstappen will have bodyguards at the event due to his perceived frosty relationship with teammate Sergio Perez.

Lewis Hamilton 17/2

While Hamilton is no longer the dominant force he once was, largely because of the exploits of Red Bull he is still a top-class driver and is currently placed third in the Drivers Championship on 201 points. That is 39 points behind Sergio Perez in second place following his five podium finishes so far this season

In the lead-up to the race Hamilton has retorted “We have a chance to beat Verstappen in Mexico”.

Sergio Perez 17/2

Hometown hero Perez will be looking to land success in a race which means a lot to him on Sunday. Last season he became the first Mexican to finish on the podium at the event when he finished behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

Currently in second place in the Drivers’ Championship, a victory here or even just bettering Hamilton and he will be in a very good position with four races to go to finish ahead of the Englishman.

Lando Norris 16/1

One of the rising stars in the sport of F1 Lando Norris (23) is currently in sixth place in the Drivers Championship, his six podium finishes this season are only bettered by Verstappen (17), Perez (8) and Alonso (6).

He will be looking to better his eighth-place finish at the event from last season.

Interestingly McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella has said in the lead-up to the event that Norris has the talent to compare himself to Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso.

George Russell 20/1

Mercedes Driver Russell (25) is another who looks like he has a bright future ahead of himself in the sport but is currently only in eighth place in the Drivers' Championship following a season where he only has one podium finish so far this season.

However, it should be noted that he performed brilliantly at this event last season where he did not finish second place in qualifying and just missed out on a podium place in the race finishing fourth.

Russell also posted the Fastest Lap at the event going around in a swift 1:20.153 on lap 71. Could he do it again on Sunday?

Best Bet: George Russell Fastest Lap @ 9/1
