Spotlight: Handles all surfaces; many good runs on turf over the last year, making all in first-time blinkers here (1m, good to firm) in July and two solid efforts since; headgear left off now tackling 7f for the first time since 2yo days in Ireland but has another good run in him.

Spotlight: Talented and well treated; multiple wins include two over C&D; nearly all his wins under Paul Mulrennan, who prefers Sanafi Zabeel, but he's also gone well for Lauren Young and ran creditably for her at Hamilton last week; the likely strong pace will suit and he's capable of a big run.

Spotlight: Has led but not dependent on tactics; slowly away and never threatened at Chester latest but a first win shouldn't be far away on earlier narrow defeats, at Musselburgh and Carlisle (both 7f; good and good to firm), closely matched with Black Storm on the latter occasion; thereabouts.

Spotlight: First British win when making all at Hamilton (about 1m, good to firm) in May; has remained in form there since without looking ahead of his mark but this first attempt at 7f looks worth investigating for last year's winning trainer.

Spotlight: Sole win in 7f AW maiden at Dundalk as 3yo; slightly frustrating for this yard as he's been involved in some tight finishes for them, including in this race last year and when just behind Supreme Clarets at Carlisle (7f, good to firm) in July, but fitting blinkers could help; solid chance, if so.

Spotlight: Capable of better than he's shown on his last two starts at York, unsuccessfully tried over 1m then visored (left off today) in a higher grade; has possibilities on his close second to Circle Of Trust over C&D (soft) in June, albeit the latter pulled out extra when challenged; not ruled out.

Spotlight: Nearly made a successful switch to handicaps at Yarmouth (7f, good to soft) last September, just held by one who won three of his next five starts; had a quiet start to 2026 but did better when prominently ridden and having a little in hand against Milford Grange over C&D (soft) in June; up 3lb; capable of better.

Spotlight: Three of four wins have been at 7f, including over C&D (good) last August; back on his latest winning mark after failing to find his form this year and has plenty to prove following a 14l defeat at Doncaster in June.

Spotlight: Often leads; narrow Chester winner (7f, good to firm) last August on handicap debut and he ran much better back there in June than he had the time before at York; another bold show is on the cards.

Spotlight: Won 1m2f Bath novice as 2yo but just middling form from the front here of late, over 1m2f, 7f and 6f; dropping down the weights but this is competitive and the other two from the yard look more interesting.

Spotlight: 7f winner on Newcastle AW in March; back on turf for the first time since last October but he's 8lb lower today and he does act on grass; however, jockey bookings suggest Highfield Viking is the stable preferred.

Spotlight: Maiden; one of his best efforts came over C&D (good to soft) last summer and yard has won two of the last five runnings but this one needs to improve on his handicap form so far, most recently when bleeding from the nose in June; now hooded.

Spotlight: Took a step forward when winning 6f novice on Newcastle AW last December but she's had two crushing defeats in handicaps this year for new yard; can only watch.
