Spotlight: Gained first chase win at Wexford in July (3m, good), bolting up by 11l; on the face of it, a 6lb rise seemed a shade lenient but it probably was a weak race, and he was subsequently well held in third at the same venue; it took him 14 attempts to win a chase, hard to be confident.

Spotlight: Hunter chase winner in 2025; second in a small-field 3m1f handicap at Kilbeggan in August, and third in a more competitive 2m5f event at Killarney 12 days later; held a slight lead and was travelling well enough when falling at the last (usual three out) at Listowel; hard to know what he would have found under pressure; has to be taken seriously here.

Spotlight: Started the summer in good form, winning a 3m1f beginners chase at Kilbeggan and second in a handicap chase at the same venue; in between a creditable fourth in the Galway Blazers won by the subsequent Munster National winner Kings Hill; two below-par runs before a fair third at Fairyhouse 12 days ago.

Spotlight: Runner up in a 2m4f Thurles handicap hurdle last November (winner subsequently thrown out, positive test); given a break after a laboured effort at Leopardstown in December (blowing hard post-race); no show in a 2m handicap hurdle at Navan on return last month; decent chasing pedigree, but possibly risky at this stage.

Spotlight: Three-time winner over hurdles; joined this stable in the summer and ran satisfactorily without threatening in handicap hurdles at the Galway and Listowel festivals; caused a big upset when proving much too good for the fancied Elliott and De Bromhead runners in a four-runner chase at Killarney; major chance here if that form is taken literally.

Spotlight: 109-rated hurdler, 3lb lower after four chase starts; has failed to build on a second placing at Wexford in June (2m3f, good); remote third of five finishers in a novice event at Cork 11 days ago.

Spotlight: Regressive after winning a competitive handicap chase for Pat Fahy at Navan in March 2025; rose to a mark of 122 at his peak. now down to 100; had been out of form until signs of revival at Galway early this month; however, it was a weak race and he was beaten 10l by a low-rated opponent.

Spotlight: Veteran six-time who has done a lot of racing since his last win (over hurdles) in April 2025; out of the money in five races since making the frame twice in the spring; stable can come up with a winner out of the blue, but hard to make a logical case.

Spotlight: Won a 2m5f beginners' chase at Cork in December 2024; held in handicaps in 2025; last of four finishers on return at Gowran early this month; likely to be sharper now; plenty to prove at this stage.

Spotlight: Chase winner at Wexford in 2024; useful form in handicap hurdles last year, winning twice; nowhere near his best in two handicap chase attempts at Wexford during the summer.

Spotlight: Bumper and hurdles winner; failed to take to chasing last season and was pulled up on three consecutive occasions during March/April; struggled in two outings on the Flat this term, similar scenario on return to chasing at Fairyhouse,

Spotlight: Flat/hurdles winner in Britain; has shown next to nothing in six Irish starts, remote eighth in a beginners' event at Tramore on belated chasing debut two weeks ago.
