Spotlight: Wins have all come on good or softer turf and he confirmed his liking for Hamilton when making it 3-5 there early last month; currently 0-6 on the AW (all Tapeta) and a 5lb rise sees him on a career-high mark for a yard that might be in better form.

Spotlight: Four-time Tapeta winner whose AW mark has eased after three no-shows on turf and who's now 1lb lower than when successful at Newcastle last winter; currently 3-10 for Billy Loughnane and a better showing can be expected.

Spotlight: Won this race last year off a 3lb lower mark, when the strong pace set things up for him; got into the habit of blowing the start lately and will need the breaks from stall 13 but the return here will help (two wins and two seconds from eight runs over C&D).

Spotlight: Only has a 2yo maiden win to his name for William Haggas but has run well several times in handicaps for this yard and remains on a competitive mark; one of the likelier winners.

Spotlight: Got her act together since the hood went on and is 1-1 over 6f on Tapeta (off 4lb lower in the spring); no obvious reason why she won't go well again for a trainer who also saddles Cairdeas, and she holds claims in a competitive handicap.

Spotlight: Made it 3-4 on Tapeta when winning off 4lb lower early last month; a poor effort on turf a few weeks ago will need forgiving but he's the type to respond positively to a change of yard and the headgear coming off, so holds possibilities.

Spotlight: Been around a bit in recent times and tried over various trips, often pulling hard; got it together for his current trainer but will need to settle better, with just daylight on his outside from stall 14, back on the AW.

Spotlight: Done a lot of her racing over 7f, including when winning here off 4lb lower in the spring; again pulled too hard when a beaten-favourite last time and perhaps the drop back to sprinting will help on that front.
