Spotlight: Last four wins over 1m at Pontefract but he has placed on all three course visits and he arrives on the back of a respectable fourth at Redcar (1m, good) last weekend; has won on good to soft; enters calculations.

Spotlight: Has gained all four handicap wins over C&D, including two this May (good to soft/good to firm); also ran well over the extended 7f here in midsummer and has been given a chance by the handicapper on the back of a poor run at Pontefract five weeks ago; his C&D record affords him plenty of respect.

Spotlight: Got off the mark at the seventh attempt when scoring at Leicester (1m, good) in June; suffered a couple of bits of interference in the home straight when seventh at Southwell since so that probably shouldn't be taken to suggest this mark is beyond him; placed on soft.
