Spotlight: Has been given time and he showed the benefit when, despite hanging into Arcturus Flame, he won with a little in hand on handicap debut at Yarmouth (about 1m3f, good to firm) recently; up 4lb and although there's little between him and the runner-up on these terms, he looks likely to go on from that and has a good chance of staying further.

Spotlight: Sole win at Nottingham at about 1m (good) in April 2025 but he has C&D form and a close call with Zachary Hickes at Yarmouth (about 1m3f, good to firm) for new yard puts him in this picture; may well improve further even though he's not obviously ahead of his mark on past efforts.

Spotlight: Bang in form with a wide-margin win in a three-runner race at Yarmouth (1m6f) followed by a close shave at Newmarket (1m4f; both on good to firm); can make a weights case on best 2025 form but this is competitive.

Spotlight: Often leads; unbeaten 3-3 on the AW but his most recent Flat win came on turf, at Sandown (1m6f, good) last July; was all the better for a break when going close at Lingfield (1m6f, good to firm) this month and seemed to handle good to soft ground over hurdles; thereabouts.

Spotlight: Eleven wins include one over C&D (soft; equally effective on good to firm) on yard debut in June; back up 6lb but has won off slightly higher marks on the AW and his latest Sandown third, where he kept persevering, suggests he should be on the premises again.

Spotlight: Yet to win a handicap on turf but won over hurdles (good to soft) and on AW earlier this year and did very well to finish third of 15 in the big 2m4f handicap at the Glorious meeting when 5lb out of the weights; just 1lb lower this time and balance of form suggests he'll need more back at 1m6f.

Spotlight: Best form and all three wins on the AW, at 1m3f and 2m; just 0-6 on turf but he does act on the surface and any rain would be helpful; however, he'll need to be at his very best, if not better, to win this.

Spotlight: Multiple staying wins on turf and the AW and she's back on her most recent winning mark, at Nottingham (1m6f, good) in May; put a couple of modest runs in June behind her when a close third of four at Lingfield 25 days ago but likely to need more for this.

Spotlight: More wins this year, two over hurdles and two on the Flat (about 1m4f, good), but perhaps found out by a career-high mark at Ascot and Lingfield (back at 1m6f, good to firm) since; probably has work to do again.

Spotlight: Three 1m6f wins on AW and turf (good to firm); returned to form when runner-up in a five-runner race at Epsom in July but he goes without his regular blinkers from just out of the weights and rain unhelpful.

Spotlight: Multiple wins include five on the Flat, one over 1m4f on this track; however, he's been well below his best on his last two starts, over C&D and then at Epsom, and it's easy to prefer others.

Spotlight: Won 3yo maiden at the Curragh in 2023 but he hasn't run on the Flat for nearly two years and an ordinary strike-rate over hurdles in the meantime suggests he'll struggle off his current mark back at this game.
