They come at this from a multitude of angles but there is not much between most of them on form. The striking exception is Morrophore who's been expertly handled to move through the ranks in handicaps and is now the clear form pick, but that's thanks to last winter's wins over 1m2f on the Lingfield AW, so this first appearance since demands something a bit different. She is still highly respected from a top yard, whose other two runners include the fascinating once-raced Without Prejudice. The winner, however, may well be supplied by Joseph O'Brien, who is so strong in this division and runs VAUNTINGLY (nap) who has proved herself at 1m4f and whose latest form has been boosted. Second on the list is the Oaks fourth A La Prochaine, with Ryka making some appeal among those at much longer odds.[Richard Austen] Show less
Spotlight: Won at Newbury (1m, soft) on sole 2yo start and beaten about 3l in the Listed Cheshire Oaks at Chester (11.3f, good) on return; 22-1, stuck to her task well for a never-dangerous, 10l fourth of nine in the Oaks at Epsom (1m4f, good to soft) 11 weeks ago; off since but could have more improvement in her and 1m4f on rain-softened ground would seemingly hold no fears.
Spotlight: Clearcut win from the front in a maiden at Killarney (11.3f, good) in her fourth race, having been second on soft the time before; came from midfield when short-headed by a stablemate in seven-runner Listed race at Gowran Park (1m4f, good; the third won a Group 3 next time) last month, producing another improved effort and making her a big player in these calculations.
Spotlight: Tail flasher who has looked a bit tricky at times but she's also won four of her eight starts; did it well in a handicap at Ascot (good to firm) in May 2025 and, with Ryan Moore taking over, she then justified short-priced favouritism in last-gasp fashion in two hot AW handicaps at Lingfield last winter; those wins were 1m2f and she's unraced beyond that, but three siblings scored at 1m3f or 1m4f; absent since January but those last two 1m2f AW wins make her the clear form pick.
Spotlight: Won debut on good to soft, no impression in her one race on soft; 1m1f handicap winner here last September and, having finished well for fourth of 24 over 1m this season at Royal Ascot, she ran on into second of eight when trying 1m2f again in Group 3 at the Curragh on latest outing; races a bit freely but her dam was pretty useful at this trip; each-way form chance.
Spotlight: 3-6 for Ralph Beckett, including a 1m4f handicap win at Newmarket last October on good ground (previous wins were on heavy and good to soft); similar form this season in Ireland over 1m2f, 1m4f and 1m6f for new yard, without a win but the last two of those assignments were Group 3 (with cheekpieces enlisted) and she has a similar form chance to most in this line-up.
Spotlight: Hooded on all three starts; kicked off this summer with two seconds, on the strength of which she was 11-10 favourite at Ffos Las (1m4f, good) late last month in another maiden, which she proceeded to win by 13l after leading over 1f out; only four ran in that steadily run race and this is a very different proposition, but she strode clear in great style and looks useful.
Spotlight: Sister to 2022 Derby second Hoo Ya Mal; dual AW novice winner (1m/1m4f); runner-up in the Lingfield Oaks Trial (11.6f, good to firm) before fifth of 15 in the Italian Oaks (10.5f, good) and second to an impressive winner in Listed race at Hamilton (1m3f, good to firm), which were all useful form but she'll need to find a bit extra.
Spotlight: Ex-Polish filly who has won on soft; minor honours this term over 1m2f in handicap at Windsor (unlucky) and over 1m4f in both a Listed event at Pontefract (fourth of nine) and handicap at Ascot; needs to find a bit extra but has similar form to most in this field.
Spotlight: Sister to connections' Pride Of Arras, last year's Dante and Great Voltigeur winner at this track; this filly's best effort has likewise been at York, when third in the Group 3 Musidora (10.2f, good) in May; however, tailing off in the Oaks at Epsom (good to soft; 18-1) and seventh of nine in Listed race at Newmarket, both 1m4f, weaken her case considerably; headgear is now enlisted.
Spotlight: Long odds-on for her Pontefract novice win (1m, good; acts on good to soft) in June; close third of seven when 5-6 for a handicap at Windsor one month ago on the move up to 1m2f and she's by Australia, which boosts hopes for 1m4f; she has the lowest rating in this field, however.
Spotlight: Second off handicap marks of 79 and 81 this summer, so filling the same position in nine-runner Listed race at Newmarket (1m4f, good to firm) on latest outing was the first inkling that she might be able to hold her own at this level; wore cheekpieces on last two starts.
Spotlight: Showed she stays 1m4f well in two races on good to soft last autumn, latterly with a clearcut Listed win at Toulouse; well below form in her only start this season (start of May) but interesting if she's back on song.
Spotlight: Made most for Listed win at Saint-Cloud last October and reappeared this May with a respectable Listed second in France, both 1m2f on soft; won over 1m3f in 2024 and she now looks worth a crack at 1m4f; first, though, she needs to bounce back after tailing off in an AW Group 3 (20-1) eight weeks ago.
