Spotlight: Ran well in the face of a tough task when fourth in Group 2 Celebration Mile at Goodwood (soft) a fortnight ago and he returns to a handicap on a mark 2lb lower than when fourth of 28 in the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm); has an each-way shout.

Spotlight: Three handicap wins last year (1m, good/good to firm) and runner-up at Newmarket (1m1f, good to firm) in May on his second start this season; merely mid-division in the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) last time but he's not ruled out after a break; unproven on slow ground.

Spotlight: All four outings on AW/good to firm; won on debut at Newcastle last November and has run well in defeat on two of his three starts since, most recently a close fifth of ten at Newmarket last month; improvement is necessary but the way he kept on last time suggests this first crack at 1m could be a good move; wears first-time cheekpieces.

Spotlight: Well beaten at Sandown in June on sole outing this year and he refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn there last month; however, he's 2lb lower than when second in this race last year so is capable of having a say.

Spotlight: 7yo who is winless since November 2023 but has dropped down the weights and he ran well when third of 13 at York (1m, good to firm) in July; had an excuse back there last time, when the blindfold was removed late; not ruled out each-way.

Spotlight: Two wins from his 13 starts (all for William Haggas) and, having edged down the weights, he's one to watch in the betting on his first run for the Quinns (remains in same ownership); however, he has a hefty absence to defy and this is a hot race; 0-4 in 2025.

Spotlight: Won at Newmarket (1m, good) and Epsom (8.5f, good to soft) in the first half of the year and he got no run when down the field in the Golden Mile at Goodwood (1m, good to firm) in July; however, he was soundly beaten at Ascot (1m, good to firm) last time and has to raise his game.

Spotlight: Group 1 runner-up in Australia in 2024; his mark continues to fall and he wasn't disgraced in mid-division at Chester three weeks ago, with these cheekpieces added, but others have more compelling claims.

Spotlight: 4-11 on AW as opposed to 0-6 on turf; second at Ascot (1m, good to firm) in May but not at the same level at Ascot/Newmarket on his two runs since.
